Thank you for a truly wonderful performance last night. This was the best Magic Flute I have ever heard/seen in over 40 years of opera going. Every single member of the cast was superb and the orchestra was brilliant. I'm so glad you include Epsom on your tour list. I have attended nearly all your performances, both Opera Box and SCO. I thought last year's Daughter of the Regiment would be hard to beat, but your Magic Flute is an absolute joy.
My very best wishes,
CG

Subject: the Magic Flute at Ucheldre
We have just experienced The Magic Flute at the Ucheldre, Holyhead.
It was our first experience of this opera but it gave us great pleasure and the whole cast were wonderful and professional.
They played to a full house who were very appreciative. However, when the audience were invited to stay behind for 'question time' we found ourselves alone so, embarrassed, we left.
We have seen three operas from your troupe at the Ucheldre and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. We can't wait for your next visit.
Thanks a million. If possible please tell the cast of our total joy.

Many, many thanks for a wonderful performance here last Friday. We are so lucky to have real professionals travel so far to show us the best of opera. And to have live music as well, please give our grateful thanks to all, and for the very helpful intro. talk ore the performance, we would have stayed after to meet the stars, as invited, but sadly had to return home. Do please come again, South Wales is impossible for us to get to, and we would totally miss out were it not for you. Excellent - again, many, many thanks.

From VC
Hello
I took my daughter, her three children (17, 15 and 14) and a friend to see the opera at Spalding's South Holland Centre last Saturday, 18th November. What a SUPERB performance and RESOUNDING success it was!! The theatre was well filled - not capacity - but a large crowd who certainly appreciated the performance. We thought the costumes and particularly the accessories - back packs, caps, guns and especially the horse, really imaginative. Who decides on these items, is it the Wardrobe Mistress or is it specified in the production? The ensemble too was excellent, and it was fascinating to watch - from our front row gallery seats - as the conductor not only played the piano but also conducted the other members and of course the singers. My grandchildren were really wowed by whole event! The Theatre Manager was also very enthusiastic about the production and hopefully will be sending us copies of the review(s) as unfortunately we are out of the area for the local paper. I also thought the price of the programme was very reaonable. They are a must-have item but can sometimes be on the pricey side!
Altogether a very enjoyable evening and I hope we will be able to go to another of your operas next season. Would you be able to keep us on your e-mail list, I wonder?
With very best wishes and again, thanks for a wonderful evening,

Dear SCO,
I just got home from seeing your production of The Barber of Seville in Cardigan, at the Theatre Mwldan. I've been privileged to see this opera many times; the most elaborate production at The Met in New York - the very worst at the Comic Opera in Vienna.
I'd like you to know that I found your production to be the most engaging, charming and wholly delightful one that I've seen. It was done with such precise, relaxed, confident taste.
The set and costume design were superb; the costumes really quite remarkable. Your tiny orchestra found the essence and spirit of the music.
I suspect that by now you've guessed that I had a good time!
If you have a mailing list please put me on it.
Congratulations on a creative triumph.
Best wishes and come back soon.
William

Just to let you know we really enjoyed your performance of barber of seville at Epsom Playhouse. we have seen you before and enjoyed those too. but we like the barber in English to appreciate the humour. We also thought your multi purpose set was excellent…

Not an enquiry but a note to say that I saw this last night in Kings Lynn and although I was, of course, prepared to enjoy myself I wasn't prepared to be so delighted with it. The playing was sharp, the singing excellent and the mood of the production witty and exhilerating. (Incidentally, I heard several people saying much the same thing - and the couple sitting next to me were slightly nervous first-time operagoers and had a wonderful evening.) Congratulations and please come again.

Hello I was one of the privileged people to see Cosi Fan Tutte last night at Blackwood Miner's Institute. Thank you - it was superb - my thanks and best wishes to cast, crew and all concerned with the production.
The programme information was also very good.
Once again thanks for a wonderful evening.
kind regards

We hope your touring venture is a success and that you come here again soon.
Congratulations to all concerned.

Hi, I just wanted to thank SCO for a wonderful evenings entertainment at the Harlow playhouse last Saturday (9th April). I came along with a group of 14 people, who are members of a local choir. Some of us have seen many opera's and for some this was their first experience. We all thought the production and performances were fantastic. I'm on your mailing list and we hope to come and see you again when you're in Harlow again.

Saw the Pearl Fishers at Lichfield Garrick last night and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the production. The quality of the singing (principals and chorus) and the playing of the orchestra was excellent.
Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved.
We hope you will return to Lichfield.

We saw the Pearl Fishers at Barry Memorial Hall last Saturday and we wanted to let Swansea Opera know that we really enjoyed it. We have never seen the Pearl Fishers live before, and we only knew the one song from hearing it on the radio. Congratulations on a really good evening with fantastic music from a small group of players and singers who kept up the interest throughout. Thanks - we will be back.

Congratulations to ALL the cast of The Pearl Fisher!! My husband & I took some friends who had never been to opera before. They loved it as did we!! We were just sorry that we didn't go to see The Barber of Saville on the Thursday Night as well. I've looked at your schedule of performances for the next few months & this doesn't appear anywhere!
We look forward to the next opportunity to attend one of your delightful performances.
All the very best

Subject: Opera Workshop-Abergavenny

Dear Brendan, Kate and Andy
I am writing on behalf of my daughter, Alys, who attended your Opera Workshop at the Borough Theatre, Abergavenny last week. Alys thoroughly enjoyed herself on Monday and Tuesday evenings and gained so much from taking part in the workshop. The African chant taught by Andy has been sung unceasingly! Also the prayer from The Pearl Fishers.
Having been in several musicals, most recently playing the part of Annie (at the tender age of 9!), Alys loves all things connected with the theatre and had said she would like to see an opera before we heard about the Opera Workshop; thus it was with great excitement that Alys came to the theatre on Friday night to watch The Pearl Fishers. What a super introduction to the opera the whole experience has been for her; Alys is still raving about what she saw and heard, and though she said she prefers to hear a little dialogue, she can't wait to see another opera!
Many, many thanks to all concerned with this fantastic opportunity and the wonderful performance on Friday.

We have just seen your production of Pearl Fishers her in Bracknell. Superb voices and most enjoyable. Surtitles or subtitles would have made it even more enjoyable. My thanks to all of the company.
